spectacular app for building vocab, practicing various types of conjugations, and learning basic-complex grammar/syntax. never got the subscription, but it's probably only useful to those who plan on traveling to specific Spanish-speaking countries that have very distinct dialects (like Argentina, Chile, etc.). Also the daily crosswords and word of the day thing are pretty fun and useful

I like how the lessons are formatted, they give you a couple of related phrases or words then drill you on them into the ground with increasing difficulty on the way you answer the question, ending with you having to type in the phrase with no added assistance. Especially if you combine the lessons with notes you take to review later, it really helps you remember the old information. Also, with the free version the ads during the lessons are genuinely the most unobtrusive ads in any app ive had.

SO useful! I originally downloaded the app to look up words and verb forms, but I am so impressed at how much other useful content there is-- free! Lists of vocab, lessons on grammar, conjugation drills, pronunciation practice-- it's all great!!! I've been learning with a college textbook and using Duolingo to drill. This will be a fantastic tool to get extra instruction and practice in tough topics. Plus I love the themed vocab lists (work, food, tech...) and hearing the words pronounced!
